Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Google Insights


The Google Adwords Keyword Tool can be used for both keyword research and keyword generation. You have the option of having new keywords suggested based on words or phrases, or based on your Web site’s content. For each keyword, the results show the keyword’s competitiveness, the previous month’s local search volume, and the global monthly search volume.

Google Insights allows you to compare search volume and patterns for keywords across geographic regions, industries, seasonality, and properties (i.e. product search, image search, etc.). This tool can really give you some great “insights” into not only the keywords you should optimize your Web site for, but also trends within your industry.
